“My life is my message.” – M.K Gandhi
MRIS-14, Faridabad celebrated Bapu’s birthday with great zeal, enthusiasm and patriotism. The special assembly held was a sincere effort by the students of Class IV-E to give a deep insight into the life and times of Mahatma Gandhi.
The assembly began with a special tribute to our ‘Father of the Nation’. Students articulated Gandhi’s ideology and contributions towards Indian independence skillfully through various mediums like- songs, thoughts, talks and a skit. The musical drama presented by the children showcased the role of Bapu in Dandi March, Namak Aandolan and Gyarah Murti. They presented the philosophical and pragmatic ideals of Gandhi.
Not only Grade IV but the Kindergarteners of KG1 and KG7 also showcased the glimpses of Gandhiji’s life such as Non- Violence movement and Swadeshi movement. Gandhiji’s three monkeys depicted the importance of seeing good, hearing good and speaking good.
The audiences were left spellbound with the melodious vocal performance by the choir on a beautiful song “Sabarmati ke sant tune……..” which filled the ambience with a feeling of patriotism for our country and gratitude towards Bapu.
Towards the end, the co-scholastic incharge, Ms. Nidhi Garg motivated the children to imbibe the teachings of Gandhiji in their lives. The winners of various competitions were also well appreciated and felicitated by her.
