A Basic Life Support (BLS) training program was conducted for the staff members at Manav Rachna International School, Sec-14, Faridabad by the team from Metro Hospital.
Mr. B.K Verma, Proctor, MRIS-14 extended a very warm welcome to the team. The session began with the explanation of basic first aid techniques and was followed by a presentation on BLS which covered detailed information on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) which combines chest compression with artificial ventilation (an effort to manually restore blood circulation and breathing in a person with cardiac arrest). All the steps were explained in a highly interactive manner.
The session also involved hands-on training of the procedure on a dummy and was well-guided by Mr. Peter from Metro Hospital. The training program turned out to be an excellent learning experience for everyone.
