MRIS-14 Students would now represent India at an international level in the USA
Manav Rachna International School, Sector-14, Faridabad declared Champions at the First Lego League Nationals. Team Bold Nuts of MRIS-14, Faridabad secured the 1st position out of 32 teams which participated and bagged the National Championship and the Best Robot Performance Trophy for their Robot Game. Team Bold Nuts was represented by Laxman Prasad, Dhairya Gupta, Ishaan Saini of Grade IX and Aaditya Jain, Saksham Sharma and Ayush Malik of Grade X. They will now be representing India at the World Robotics Festival to be held at St. Louis, U.S.A. in April 2017.
It is noteworthy that FLL (First Lego League) is a Robotics festival which is held annually with various themes. This year the theme was ‘Animal Allies’ and it refers to the interaction between the humans and the animals and the prevention of harm that humans are causing them intentionally or unintentionally. The event was divided into 3 parts- Core Values, Project work and Robot Game and the participants were judged as a team on all the 3 aspects.
Expressing utmost delight at the Students win, Ms. Mamta Wadhwa, Principal, MRIS-14, Faridabad, said, “I am extremely proud of our students that they have outperformed at the National Level and they were able to achieve this because they possess exceptionally well soft skills and worked hard to secure the National Position to represent our country at St. Louis, USA. I congratulate them for their feat and wish them much luck for the upcoming event.”
