The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention.
Manav Rachna International School, Charmwood organized Anti-Bullying week on the theme- “Take a stand, lend a hand”. The second day of the week began with students designing Ice cream sticks which they shared with their peer group as a token of friendship. The senior wing students had a discussion on the topic ‘Systems that could have prevented you from being a victim’. This helped them recognize ways in which the school and parents can come together to prevent bullying.
Early Years students planted seeds in the school campus and promised to take care of their plant on the third day of the Anti-Bullying Week. This activity inculcated in them the importance of love and care. Students of Grades I-V showcased their ideas and views about making their surroundings a Bully Free Zone. The day ended with a group discussion of senior wing students on the topic-‘Systems that could have prevented you from being a bully” which helped students to be sensitive to others and be a buddy than a bully.
During the fourth day of Anti-Bullying Week at MRIS, Charmwood, Early Years students created a ‘Thank You’ wall in their classes thanking their friends and teachers. Students of Grades I-V had an Inter-House competition on the theme-‘Anti-Bullying’ and spread the message of friendship, love and care. The last day also ended with a group discussion of senior wing students on the topic ‘Systems that could have prevented you from being a Bystander’ which helped them understand the importance of taking a stand for inequality and say no to bullying.
