In the past few years, Life Skills and Values Education have gained global evidence in developing psychosocial competency and interpersonal skills in school going students. It was emphasized that programs involving parents in building a healthy relationship with the school authorities are much needed.  Recognising that parents and teachers need to work hand in hand to shape the future of students, MRIS Academic Excellence Department invited Dr Jitender Nagpal and his team of two psychologists, Mrs Aparna and Mrs Aprajita to conduct this workshop.
The teachers were given tips on how to deal with parents. Dr J Nagpal emphasised the purpose of so-called PTMs(Need to be renamed as Family bonding for meaningful communication). He also insisted on the presence of student during the interaction on PTM days. Fear- psychosis put in the minds of students through formal examination at an early age was highly discouraged. The workshop was concluded with an active participation of teachers in role play activities conducted by the resource persons.
Nearly 110 teachers from all the 7 branches of MRIS( including Ludhiana)  participated in this highly informative workshop.
