CSR Activities and Clubs & Societies
We thrive in a community which is a melting pot of diverse cultures, beliefs and customs. A peaceful coexistence is possible when one is sensitive to the needs and concerns of fellow citizens. Driven by the ideology of our visionary founder, Dr. O.P. Bhalla, MRIS schools strives not only towards academic excellence but also endeavours to help students realize their social responsibilities. In association with NGOs Prabhat and Goonj, MRIS schools carry out various humanitarian services such as aiding flood relief through donations monetary and in kind, raising awareness against social ills through street plays, initiating cleanliness drive and so on.
Students visit old age homes to mitigate the loneliness of those forgotten by their loved ones and by spreading waves of joy. The underprivileged children in the Government school for Girls located at Mohna village (under the aegis of Dr. O.P. Bhalla’s trust) are visited every week by MRIS’ students and teachers, who impart education via fun-filled activities. Student-teachers also impart wisdom on hygiene and sanitation. The young learners are trained to share their joys, treat everybody with care and respect, ease the pain of the woeful hearts and recognize their role in being the wheels of change to lead the nation towards the zenith of prosperity.
MRIS SCHOOLS STRIVES NOT ONLY TOWARDS ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE BUT ALSO ENDEAVOURS TO HELP STUDENTS REALIZE THEIR SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES.
SCHOOL ACTIVITIES CLUBS AND SOCIETIES
The club activities ensure an all round personality development of the children and tap their hidden talents thus making them smart and self reliant. A student’s club enhances academic life, opens the doors to new friendships and helps him/her to explore interesting areas of learning through teamwork.
The clubs focus on a specific area, thus allowing its student members to develop their skills and interests and attain a specialized level of learning. Most of following clubs are functional in various MRIS. The students in MRIS have the liberty to choose the club of their interest.
The objective of the Maths Club is to make the subject more interesting. Children are given various activities, games and puzzles with the help of which they learn logical reasoning and develop mathematical skills.
The pottery club is yet another initiative to link the young creative minds with Mother Earth. Shaping small items on the Potter’s wheel is a delight which has to be experienced at the potter’s wheel.
Language clubs in all the schools not only encourage children to learn English and Hindi via both audio and visual media but also emphasize on French.
Music is the soul of life and the children at MRIS schools know this only too well. MRIS also offers Instrumental Music, Western Music and Western Dance classes where the students learn to play new instruments and pick up dancing techniques.
ART AND CRAFTS CLUBS
The Art and Crafts clubs not only teaches the children to create the most creative bookmarks and cards, but these are actually used during celebrations.
Dramatics open up a child’s imagination and encourages them to think for themselves or to take another person’s point of view. Here, children are given different real life roles to enact.
